Max Muscle Sports Nutrition – Fort Lauderdale Raises Over $500 for Military Families, Veterans and Active Duty Troops By Supporting Fisher House –West Palm

A Fisher House is “a home away from home” for families of patients receiving medical care at major military and Veterans Administration medical centers. The Fisher House program is a unique private-public partnership that supports America’s military in their time of need.

Similar to Ronald McDonald houses at civilian medical centers, Fisher Houses help families with long-term stays while active duty or veteran family members undergo medical treatment by keeping families together to avoid long separations from loved ones and to help reduce the costs of expensive lodging for these families. In recognition of the special sacrifices of severely wounded or ill service members and their families, the Fisher House program donates “comfort homes” so that families can face medical crises together.

Built on the grounds of major military and VA medical centers Fisher Houses provide a “home away from home” residence to extend the support normally provided by the respective military services and the Department of Veteran Affairs. The VA Medical Center, West Palm Beach Fisher House mission is to provide a home-like environment for military families to stay when a family member is hospitalized. In operation since 1995, our West Palm Fisher House has accommodated over 8,000 families. The house is an eight bedroom facility located on the Medical Center campus. However, other than providing the land, the building, maintenance, operation and staffing of the house is paid for with donations from private citizens and companies.

Max Muscle Fort Lauderdale is proud to have raised over $500 for our troops and veterans and their families by raising awareness and funds for Fisher House West Palm. All donations will stay local to our Fisher House!
Between Memorial Day Weekend and July 4th Weekend Max Muscle customers donated over $534 to this worthy cause by buying stars with their Max Muscle purchases. Thank you to all who donated!
